Marcel Melot (1909-2000) was a Belgian painter who realized figurative and abstract works of art all along his career. His canvas resulted from his interior and exterior observations and black color represented his reflection. He searched to represent our impulses and obsessions, the different states of the Ego and the soul. His zebra artworks with black lines evoked interior fight of humans, which perceived time to time a ray of light.
He exhibited his artworks in Belgium and France, between 1942 and 1988, and participated in 1986 to the International Fairs of Contemporary Art in Stockholm and Bologna.
