Louis XV style black lacquered writing desk, circa 1880

Small Louis XV style black lacquered writing desk opening by one apron’s drawer, standing on four cabriole legs. Scalloped shaped apron.
Ornamentation of chiselled and gilt bronze on angles with a decor of blind cartouche surrounded by palm leaves, scrolls, laurel swags, beads and acanthus leaves; exterior edge of the leg adorned by a stick with a foliage decor and lion paw shoe with foliage scrolls.
Sticks adorned the bottom of the apron on the fourth sides; scrolls shaped and highlighted in its centre by Louis XV style motifs mixing tormented shapes, scrolls and shells.
Scalloped tray, surrounded by gilt bronze edge with motifs of cabochons and palm leaves. It’s covered with red leather hit with gilt irons decorated by foliage scrolls.
