Valérie Courtet is a French artist who learned with Jacques Peiffer, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, in the Saint-Jean l’Aigle de Longwy Manufacture, how to apprehend the terracotta, how to mold oven it then, finally, glazed it.
The Valerie Courtet animals might be represented alone or in group as here, to show bridges which can exist between different animals, improbable coexistences that happened before our eyes. She composed a scene with colors that animals offer and she adopts the motto “unity makes strength” thanks to her animals compositions welded each other by the enamel.
