Bruno Capacci (1906-1996) was an Italian artist linked to the Surrealism movement thanks to André Breton that invited him in 1947 to exhibit his artworks during the International Exhibition of Surrealism in Paris. His artworks are very poetic and refined thanks to his palette of delicate colors, showing his great imagination and his great joy of life. He moved to Florence in the 1950’s and began a series of ceramics inspired by Andrea della Robbia, a great Renaissance period ceramist, that he exhibited in many American galleries. He also realized artworks in marble and mosaic in Etruscan and Byzantin styles, as porcelain plates for Limoges, Christofle and the Rosenthal studio.
