Agénorie Laurenceau, signed.

Pair of oval oils on canvas representing bunches of flowers. One shows a bunch of roses, peonies, blue hyacinth and helianthus planted in earth, on a blue-sky background. The other one represents a bunch of roses, helianthus, blueberries, hydrangea and honeysuckle in a Medici gadroons vase, put on a brown entablature, on a similar blue background.

Oval black wood frames decorated with gilt edging and a beads frieze.

Each canvas is signed “A Laurenceau 1862”.

 

Agénorie Monique Laurenceau, born Duhanot in the 19th century at Beaugency, is a painter, student of Maraon and active in the Paris’ Salon between 1864 and 1879. She is specialized in landscapes, flowers and fruits.
