Pair of oval gouaches figuring birds near to a lake with a blue sky background.
One gouache represents a couple of ducks, one on the water’s edge holding a worm in its beak and surrounding by long grass, the other one on water and behind him, a tree branch on which two kingfishers with blue and yellow plumage are.
The other one represents a couple of partridges next to a wheat field, one leans to catch a wheatear on the ground and next to them are tree branches on which a robin and a another partridge.

Gouaches highlight with real birds feathers.

Carved, gilt and moulded frame with a decor of waterleaves and Berain motifs friezes.

Work realized in the 19^th century.
