Henry Dasson, Louis XV inlaid commode, before 1894

Henri Dasson, stamped.

Louis XV style commode, bulged and opening with two front drawers without crosspiece and standing on cabriole legs. The furniture body is inlaid in its center with rosewood marquetry arranged in fan-shaped and framed with kingwood. Two little frisage adorned the upper part.
Rich ornaments of chiseled and gilt bronzes like forefeet foliage shoes ending in lion’s paws, four drawer handles, angles, two escutcheons and belt ornamentation with Louis XV motifs (acanthus leaves, scrolls, foliage).
Breche d’Alep marble top with sinuous form embracing the commode design.

Double stamps « Henry Dasson », one in the wood and another one on the left gilt bronze.

Work of the second part of the 19th century, before 1894, date of Henry Dasson’s activity ceasing.
