Jordi Casablancas Muntañola (1940-2001) was a Spanish Catalan designer, with an economist formation, who realized pure shape furniture inspired by the Scandinavian furniture stripping and rationnalist creations. Highly interested by the systematization and the assembly, he produced furniture which are realized from simple elements permitting to get a rational production and combinable furniture. He used wood and often crafted it in a straight way. Some of his furniture are housed in the Museu del Disseny in Barcelona.
