Louis XVI style commode with a lacquer decor, circa 1900

Louis XVI style commode in mahogany opening by five front drawers agenced on three levels : trois small drawers on the apron separated with one crossbar from the two large overlapped drawers. Front face with a central breakfront, canted corners and mounts, the whole ensemble standing on four squared tapered legs.
Black background lacquer decor figuring gold and red geometrical shapes in which are inserted birds, foliage and flowers.
Ornamentation of gilt and chiselled bronzes such as the frames of drawers and sides, brettées plates on edges, motifs of foliage scrolls on mounts, frieze of diamonds and rounds on the crossbar, key holes, laurel crown shaped handles, lingotiere and shoes.
Grey marble top type Belgian Small Granite, inlaid in the wood.

Work realized in the beginning of the 20th century.
