Pair of Louis XV style corner cabinets in black lacquer, Chinese decor, circa 1900

Pair of Louis XV style corner cabinets in Chinese style black lacquer opening with two door leaves, standing on two curved front legs and one tapered back leg. Scalloped apron with a middle indentation motif decorated with a stylized flower, scrolls and c-scrolls. Black lacquer background with gilt ornaments figuring lake landscapes, pagodas and Asian characters. Uprights adorned with the same motif as the apron. Inside door leaves decorated with motifs of foliage and Asian signs in gilt frames. Door leaves opening on an interior shelf in natural wood. Chiselled and gilt bronze escutcheon and key. Black lacquered tray with a gilt decor of a scrolls, stylized flowers and c-scrolls frieze.

Work realized circa 1900.

Minor lacquer looses on the tray. Condition consistent with age and use of the object. Entirely re-varnished by our workshop.
