Rattan armoire adorned with flowers engravings, circa 1960

Armoire covered with rattan. Opening by two drop leaves, each one is adorned with white paper engravings under glass representing different colored roses in the style of Pierre-Joseph Redouté. Rattan sticks tripod legs on each angle.
Furniture interior separated in two vertical large compartments. Two shelves available. Possibility of shelf addition thanks to fasteners.
Each drop leaf close with a key, one metal key hole on each one.

Work realized in the 1960’s.

Structure in good condition regarding the material, age and use. On engraving glass is broken (left drop leave, upper one).

Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759-1840) was a Belgian painter known for his flowers watercolors and roses in particular. He collaborated with the greatest botanists of his time and illustrated and published many botanical books.
