Pair of Louis XV style à châssis armchairs, walnut gilt highlighted, 1950’s

Pair of Louis XV style armchairs upholstered à chassis in natural carved walnut and gilt highlights. Standing on four cabriole legs finishing by scrolls. Mounts and crosspieces in a tumultuous shape. A la Reine model, with a flat back with a central indentation adorned with a shell. Rich carved Rocaille ornaments such as C-scrolls, stylized acanthus leaves, rosettes and swirls, highlighted with gold leave.

Back, seat and armrests manchettes entirely reupholstered with a Maison Lelièvre fabric, reference Ali Baba GOLD, a cotton velvet with an orange background decorated by palm leaves and volutes inspired by rich silk Persian carpets, underlined by a slight burnout adding a bunch of relief. Water repellent treatment.
