Pair of sun chairs in wicker and black lacquered metal tubular legs fixed on two large wicker sticks crossed on the seat back. Back and seat formed a sun thanks to braided wicker sticks.

Janine Abraham (1929-2005) and Dirk Jan Rol (1929) were a French post-war designers couple. Janine Abraham is graduated from the Camondo school and was trained in the French tradition decorative art with Maxime Old and René-Jean Caillette.
Since 1956, they are exhibited at the French Salon of the Society of Decorative Artists (*Salon de la Société des Artistes Décorateurs) and drew a range of wicker seats for Rougier editor. The Sun chair received the golden medal at the Universal Exhibition at Brussels in 1958. Their work is marked by a great drawing quality, interesting choices in materials and a formal invention. They are also recognized as interiors architects and realized some interiors planning projects.
