Transition style gilt wood bergere, circa 1880

Transition style bergere in carved and gilt wood with foliage and interlacing decor. Four curved legs ending in scrolls and standing on square bases. The seat profile is slightly bulged and covered with a nice champagne fabric decorated of red and white flowers decor.  An interlacing carved frieze adorns armrests, apron and seat back. The center of the apron is adorned with acanthus leaves, a motif re-used on the upper part of the front legs.
