Carlo Nason (1935-) is an Italian designer. Passionate about Murano glass, he perpetuates the tradition of his family, one of the oldest families of Murano glass craftsmen, by taking an interest in this material to create a series of floor lamps. He shows his attraction for modern design by mixing different creative techniques to create innovative and original pieces. Subsequently, he will choose the Mazzega company to publish and distribute his collection. Nason’s design is recognized for the use of timeless curves.
Mazzega is a company created in 1946 and which keeps the values of the old master glassmakers of Murano such as the treatment of glass by hand. This company will be chosen by Carlo Nason to develop his collection between the years 1970 and 1980.
