Series of four Empire style sconces in gilded bronze, representing Nubians, each character wearing a turban with long feathers around his face. Decoration of acorns in the lower part of the representation of the face. The circular shape of the wall lamp is adorned with palmettes and the sockets are adorned with fine denticles.

Baguès is a lighting manufacturer founded in 1840 by Noël Baguès, which first was specialized first in manufacturing liturgical bronzes manufacturing. With the generalization of electricity in the household, the Bagues house starts the realization of lighting bronzes in the 1860’s. Bagues’ chandeliers are exported worldwide et make Bagues a reference in the luminaire lighting field thanks to its craftsmanship. Materials are shaped by traditional techniques as well as crimping, gilding, and patina which allow Bagues to have the status of Living Heritage Business, a witness of studio’s historical savoir-faire and their transmission.
