Toni Zuccheri (1936-2008) was a glass artist and designer, son of Luis Zuccheri, animal painter from whom he received his passion for animals. He studied architecture in 1960 in Venice under the guardianship of Ignazio Gardella, Franco Albini and Carlo Scarpa.
Very interested by glass, he began a collaboration in the 1960’s with the glass manufacture Venini for which he realized a lots of animals by using the “murrine” technique (technique which consists to cut discs of glass stickers already forming a motif to inlay it in the glass parison). He also realized lightings in collaboration with designers such as Gio Ponti, Lucio Fontana, Gaetano Pesce and reinvented the glass work with new colors, shapes and techniques. He worked during the next decades for VeArt and Barovier.
